Normal Sickness in our Psychiatric Present

Before the 1980s, meeting a psychiatric diagnosis was rare—and socially stigmatising. Today, it is estimated that over 80% of people meet the criteria for a psychiatric diagnosis. Have we all gone mad? Or has the meaning of illness changed? Or is it society that is sick?
